The views of our parents are really important as they help us to gauge how well we are doing and ensure we are continually making improvements which benefit the families in our school community. During our Open Afternoons each term we ask parents to complete a questionnaire on different topics.

IN THE SUMMER TERM WE ASKED PARENTS A RANGE OF QUESTIONS RELATING TO THEIR VEIWS ON THE SCHOOL. WE HAD 53 RESPONSES.

IMPROVING COMMUNICATION

In the spring term we asked parents how we could improve communication at Christ Church.

WHAT PARENTS SAID WHAT WE HAVE DONE
Most of the respondents of our questionnaire said they would like to receive letters via email                               From September 2017 we will be providing this option. We have already asked parents to provide us with their email details and will have forms on hand during the next Open Afternoon so that parents can give their details.
Would love to see more enriching after school club activity

In the second half of the summer term we introduced four brand new after school clubs:

Steel Pans

Gymnastics

Football club run by Welling FC

 ABC club (Agiligy, Balance, Co-ordination)

Would be a good idea to send text msg the same time as the letter goes out for reminders                                                                                                                             We send regular text messages to parents informing them of key letters that have been sent out
Would like a mobile app with upcoming events and text messages further in advance as I do not always get newsletters/letters sent home e.g. after school clubs with deadlines We are currently researching different options and hope to be able to update parents in the Autumn term.

GENERAL FEEDBACK FROM PARENTS

I'd like to tell you how fantastic the writing workshop was this morning. You are all probably well aware of Mr Ermillino's talents with teaching children but it's worth saying that he also has tremendous aptitude teaching adults as well.

The workshop, having now had my eyes opened, is essential for parents. Not merely 'nice to know'

Attendee to the Writing Workshop for parents, November 2015

Both Film nights were a huge success this week, in particular KS1. Can you please thank the staff for their help - their presence I'm sure contributed to the smooth running of the KS1 evening.
