Year 3 enjoyed an inspiring trip to the Painted Hall, where they explored its breathtaking artwork and learned about its rich history. The children discovered the stories behind the paintings and developed their understanding of the past.

They also took part in a traditional game of skittles, working together and having lots of fun. To finish the day, the pupils became Painted Hall investigators, carefully searching for clues and details in the murals.

We were really proud of how engaged and enthusiastic the children were. A real credit to the school. Thank you to parents who offered their support for the trip.

Pupil voice:

I loved playing the skittles game, it reminded me of bowling.

I learnt that the painted hall took 19 years to paint and 2 and a half years to clean!
