Parents, carers, and members of the Senior Leadership Team recently came together at the PEN Campus for a relaxed “Come Dine With Me”–style afternoon, sharing food, conversation, and ideas.

The event provided a welcoming and informal space to strengthen partnerships with families, celebrate our community, and hear the voices of parents and carers. The atmosphere was friendly and open, with everyone enjoying meaningful discussions alongside a delicious variety of shared dishes.

Feedback from parents and carers was extremely positive. Comments included: “Thank you for a lovely afternoon,” “Lovely concept – with time it will become popular and well attended,” and “Great discussions and ideas. I really enjoyed myself.”

  • GAV Workshop

    Published 24/02/26

Year 5 pupils took part in the Growing Against Violence (GAV) Internet Safety workshop, focusing on Social Media and online behaviour. The session explored how digital technology has changed the way people communicate.

Pupils were encouraged to think critically about their use of social media and how to make safe, responsible decisions online. They learned about the dangers of communicating with people who may pretend to be someone else, the importance of protecting their privacy, and the risks of oversharing personal information.

The workshop also addressed issues such as exposing others online, cyberbullying, grooming and gaming. Pupils were made aware of the law surrounding these topics and were empowered to report concerns or seek help if they ever encounter unsafe or harmful behaviour online.
