The curriculum map provides an overview of the themes and supporting texts that are to be covered each half-term. Most themes are driven by either a history or geography focus. The themes have been placed in certain year groups or at specific times of year to support progression of skills and subject knowledge. Some themes specifically enable teachers to use the local environment or resources within our locality.

We endeavour to instil a ‘love for learning’ in all our children. The schools are situated in close proximity to the world heritage site in Greenwich and has good transport links to central London, we use these resources as part of the curriculum. Parents are informed of the learning taking place each term in a class newsletter.

In Years 4 and 6, the children have the opportunity to attend residential visits that enable the children to experience outdoor learning within a different environment.

A range of various clubs, which usually take place after school, provide the children with opportunity to develop their skills and interests outside of classroom learning.
