Everyone seems to be making plans.

Teachers and School Staff are planning for the year.

Families are making plans for Christmas.

Some are looking far in advance and making plans for next summer.

I wonder what you are planning.

 

Does planning bring you worries or excitement?

Does it give you something to look forward to or remind you of what needs to get done?

 

Whatever they are, we have a God that wants to accompany us on the journey.

A God who sent his Son to walk alongside those who would lead the Church.

A God whose Spirit leads and guides us if we listen and learn from it.

 

And the promises of God:

The I will never leave you, that I have a plan for you to succeed, that I will care for you like the precious children that you are.

 

Loving God,

We thank you that you are with us through your Word, your Spirit and your Son.

We offer our plans to you now at the start of this school year.

Support us in our desire to grow, and take away the fears we have.

And remind us of the example of Jesus who offered his thoughts and plans to you for guiding and blessing.
