Pupil Faith Team 2025–26
At St Mary Magdalene, our Pupil Faith Team plays an important part in helping the school live out its ethos. Their work supports our worship life, strengthens our sense of community, and helps us remain outward looking in the way we serve others.
Faith in Action
Throughout the year, the team has taken responsibility for several whole‑school projects and has shown maturity, care and commitment in the way they lead.
Operation Christmas Child
The Faith Team coordinated our school’s involvement in Operation Christmas Child. They encouraged students and staff to contribute thoughtfully, helped organise the collection of boxes, and ensured the project was rooted in the values of generosity and compassion.
Harvest Festival
During the Harvest Festival, team members supported both worship and practical organisation. They helped gather donations for local foodbanks and assisted in sharing messages about gratitude and supporting families in need.
Community Outreach
This year, the team has also led on outreach visits to local nursing homes. Students spent time speaking with residents, delivering handmade cards, and offering companionship. These visits helped strengthen our links with the local area and provided meaningful opportunities for students to practise kindness in a real and personal way.
Christmas Cards for French Nursing Homes
As part of our wider community programme—and in collaboration with the French department—students studying French created Christmas cards written in the language. These were sent to nursing homes in France to offer friendship and connection. Our thanks go to Ms Hamdi and Mr Tarjot for spearheading this initiative, demonstrating how acts of service can extend beyond our immediate community.
