
Year 13 Sociology and Politics also enjoyed an afternoon at The Supreme Court where they learned about the checks and balances within British democracy and the role that the court plays in this. They also asked some incredibly thoughtful questions about the lack of representation seen from the 11 justices and how this is being tackled going forwards to increase the credibility of The Supreme Court.
The students said: The Supreme Court visit showed us an insight into how laws and decisions are made not only in the UK but overseas as well. It was a great experience that allowed us to focus our visions on what we want our future careers to look like.
