Published 23/07/24Peninsula Reception children have been joined by Ann, a Greenwich School Crossing Patrol Officer. Ann taught us the importance of taking care when crossing the road. We know the hazards to be aware of when near vehicles and we know how to stay safe on our bikes and scooters. Thank you, Ann!

Published 23/07/24To mark the Wimbledon Tennis Championship, Reception children at Peninsula Campus were incredibly grateful to be joined by coach Rose. Rose taught us how to move into a ‘ready position’, as well as return a ball using a forehand shot. We really enjoyed our session and are confident that there are definitely some future tennis stars amongst us!

Published 23/07/24Continuing their learning about the local area and minibeasts, our Reception children enjoyed a trip to the Greenwich Ecology Park! They had the experience of listening to, and identifying, different bird calls and even inspected pond life under the microscope. Towards the end of the trip, they had the opportunity to handle different minibeasts. Many students came over their nerves and built up the courage to handle animals such as worms, millipedes and newts!

Published 04/07/24Some of our Year 4 students had a brilliant time at Platform Cricket’s Inter School Festival at Greenwich Park. Our players showcased their cricketing skills and had a great day playing against students from other Greenwich borough schools. An extra well done to Noah and Timmy who were awarded the title of ‘Most Valuable Players’.

Published 20/03/24We took part in our first Cross Country Race. We competed against schools in Greenwich. It was a great day, children gave their best effort and they felt amazing! Well done to all the children that took part. We couldn’t be prouder! This is an annual competition, we hope to be back next year.

Published 11/03/24We celebrated world book day on 7th March 2024 and our theme was ‘Incredible journey’s’. We were looking at the book called ‘journey’ by Aaron Becker. We had a whole class assembly where we celebrated each other’s costumes, won prizes and heard a story from Mrs Wainwright. In class, we completed journey themed activities such as adding words to the story and making magical doors.
Teachers were dressed as ‘Where’s Wally’ and children went on a wally scavenger hunt.
We had lots of fun!
