Year 12 and 13 English Literature A level students attended a workshop at Keats House on the 27th February. The students were in absolute awe of the house and the information they gained from the workshop. As always, the students were an absolute credit to the school and were so engaged throughout.
It was a great day enjoyed by all!
The sixth form team exhibited at the annual Greenwich year 11 progression fair, where we had the chance to meet every Year 11 in the borough. Here we were able to market our institution, advise prospective students and network with other local schools and institutions.
Four of our Year 13 students visited Oxford University for a campus tour, eager to experience the prestigious institution firsthand. Jummy, Maya, Charlie, and Muqtadir, each with different academic interests, were excited to explore the historic university. As they arrived, the impressive architecture and lively atmosphere immediately captured their attention. The four were lucky enough to attend sample lecture, interview prep sessions and tours of various landmarks around the colleges.
We have designed the Faith, Family and Fellowship Federation Newsletter to showcase some of the initiatives and work from across our schools’ communities.
The Faith, Family and Fellowship Newsletter will be sent to all families across the Federation each term.
We hope you enjoy reading our good news and stories.

St Mary Magdalene Secondary Phase Celebrates Excellent Results for its First Ever A Level and BTEC Cohort Our staff team have been congratulating our Year 13 students as they received their ALevel and BTEC results. In what has been a challenging few years for young people across the country, the excellent accomplishments of our students are a testimony to their hard work and the dedication of their teachers. Many students have surpassed their own expectations; many have also triumphed in the face of enormous difficulties. We are extremely proud of all our Sixth Form leavers. We are delighted to see that, based on our Fisher Family Trust (FFT) benchmarks, our students achieved half a grade higher than students of a similar starting point in the country. Over seventy-five percent of our students have been accepted onto their choice of university and course, including many Russell Group Universities such as UCL and St. Andrews. In total, ninety-seven percent of students have secured a suitable higher education pathway this summer. Subject areas of particular merit include social sciences achieving a one-hundred percent pass rate (including several A*s) and BTEC Sport students achieving one-hundred percent Distinction. Whatever our students’ results, we know their determination and persistence have helped them achieve these outcomes. We are proud of their efforts and look forward to hearing all about their further education experiences. I would also like to thank the St. Mary Magdalene staff team for working so hard in supporting our students in meeting their potential. Raz Hussain Principal.
