  • National Thank a Teacher Day

    Published 09/06/26

The UK-wide celebration of teaching and support staff is back. National Thank A Teacher Day will be celebrated on Wednesday 17 June 2026. We want to celebrate every single person who makes a difference to the life and education of your children: teachers, classroom assistants, office staff, lunchtime supervisors and everyone else who keeps the school running. They all deserve a thank you and recognition for what they do daily.

Please make someone’s day by sending a free e-card to a member of staff or team within the school before the day itself. It is free and only takes a moment to do and will arrive on June 17. You can send cards for free to as many staff or teams as you wish. Use the link here: https://thankateacher.co.uk/thank-a-teacher/thank-a-teacher-form/

    Thank you!

  • Sixth Form Lecture Series

    Published 08/06/26

This half term our Sixth Form students have been enjoying even more fantastic lectures! We've had Dr Bland explaining her PhD experience, Ms Wilcox asking 'Is there life after death?', Mr Greenhalgh and Roi (Year 12) debating the end of history theory and Mr Pigott sharing his experiences of volunteering with the charity Samaritans.

The variations in these lectures have given students the opportunity to explore a range or areas and develop their knowledge and understanding of a wide range of topics in an interesting and critical way.

As always, a huge thank you to all the staff who have given up their time to take part!
